MEDICAL MARIJUANA SLOWS MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS IN LAB

Researchers in Madrid, Spain report that cannabinoids, the active ingredient in marijuana, slowed the progression of multiple sclerosis (MS) and reduced MS symptoms.

In a peer-reviewed article published in the journal Neuropharmacology, the Complutense University research team concluded that marijuana reduced neurological disabilities caused by MS.

These results correlate with results from a 2008 University of California study that showed the marijuana significantly reduced pain intensity associated with Ms.

Too bad the federal government actively discourages marijuana research in the U.S.
