No. D.C. unlike Maryland does not have PBJ – Probation Before Judgment. But there are other options….

PBJ is a program unique to Maryland cases. Instead of the Court entering a conviction, and then putting a defendant on probation, the probation is served first. If PBJ probation is completed successfully, the conviction is never entered.

As in most things, Washington is way behind the states in humane treatment for small amounts of pot.

There are programs in DC such as Section 901.04(e) or DPA, but they are more complicated and not as effective. Too bad District officials won’t look across the border for better ideas.
